Memorial Day Masses scheduled at Catholic cemeteries

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who died in service to our country. The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Diocese of Cleveland scheduled Masses at a dozen locations on Memorial Day, May 29, so family, friends and others can pay tribute to those who served their country.

Mass locations, times and celebrants are:


  • All Saints Cemetery, 480 Highland Road, Northfield, 10 a.m., Father Luigi C. Miola, pastor, St. Martin of Tours Parish.

  • All Souls Cemetery, 10366 Chardon Road, Chardon, 10 a.m., Father Frederick C. Pausche, pastor, St. Gabriel Parish.

  • Calvary Cemetery, 10000 Miles Ave., Cleveland, 10 a.m., Auxiliary Bishop emeritus Roger Gries and Father Thomas V. O?Donnell, retired.

  • Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Road W., Lorain, 9 a.m., Father Frank. P. Kosem, pastor, St. Jude Parish.

  • Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road, Akron, 10 a.m., Father Joseph H. Kraker, retired.
