National Distinguished Principal Award to Patricia Nugent of St. Joseph School in Cuyahoga Falls

National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Honor Recognizes Educational Leadership and Commitment to Excellence

ARLINGTON, VA - Dr. Patricia Nugent, principal of St. Joseph Catholic School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, received the 2013 Distinguished Principal Award from the NCEA for outstanding leadership of elementary education.

Building were the NCEA offices are located in Arlington, VA.

Nugent was honored during a ceremony at the NCEA annual convention April 2-4 in Houston, Texas.

In her 22 years as principal at three schools, Nugent has always worked "to provide the students with a strong academic and faith community," she said.  "The essence of a Cattholic school is the development of the whole child - a well-rounded person who is self-confident, self-disciplined, open to growth, responsible, and an active and productive future citizen."
