Fostering a Heart for Teens: Youth Minister Volunteer Training

A Day of Volunteer Training for Youth Ministry!

Build up your team to help them help you do amazing things to feed the Young Church! Bring your WHOLE team for this workshop on Pat Lencioni’s Working Genius. Paul Sifuentes, Executive Director of Pastoral Ministries for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and Working Genius certified facilitator, will lead the day to help us maximize trust, morale, and tap into the potential of our volunteer teams. Getting to know each other's geniuses and frustrations will change the way we vision, plan, and get stuff done, leaving more time to be with teens and help them encounter Jesus.

Participants will receive a link to the Working Genius Assessment after they register to be completed by August 19. Paul will create a Team Map for each parish, and lead activities to help us understand how our teams can work together even better based on those assessments.

For new volunteers, we will start with a Crash Course earlier in the morning to introduce them to Youth Ministry and cover some of the basics. Your veteran volunteers are welcome to come early for a refresher, or just join the main group at 10:30 am.

We will also give you time at the end of the day with your team for YOUR planning needs. The Parish Power Hour will be an opportunity to go over your calendar and expectations for the new ministry year, while you have everyone there.

We have a great day in store for your people, to inspire, equip and get them excited to go out and do great things for our teens!

Cost is $40 per person. Included in the fee is a light breakfast, lunch, presentation, and Working Genius Assessment. Registration is due August 16. It is important to register early this year, so we can send out your link to the Working Genius Assessment, which must be completed by August 19.
